I'm busy napping so I'm going to have Mommy take care of this post....Parker is just growing by leaps and bounds. I can't believe how big he is getting. As of yesterday he is 25 1/2 inches long, 14 lbs and 12 oz, and his head is 16 3/4 inches around. This puts him pretty squarely in the 75th percentile.
The doctor says he is very healthy and developing right on schedule. So we started solid foods today. Rice cereal mixed with prunes. We're doing the prunes because he just isn't regular enough. She encouraged us to continue to get him to work on sleeping through the night and taking 2 naps daily. I agree with her, Parker doesn't.
Parker is now sitting up supported, sucking on is hands, smiling, laughing, and pushing up on his tummy. He even trys to get his knees under him. Oh boy, I'm in trouble.
He loves to hang out and nap in his bouncy seat. He has two one downstairs and one in his room. He likes to sleep propped up, it makes breathing a lot easier. For those of you who don't know Parker has had a few issues with wheezing. Right now he is fine and we'll be watching for any further issues as cold and flu season continues.
Parker loves to smile at anyone who makes silly faces. So you can guess big bro Bryce cracks him up all day long. Stay tuned for more updates as the year goes on. The doctor is guessing he'll be crawling by Christmas....ughhhhhhhhhhh :-)
